Guide to Assembling the Tamiya Double Gearbox - 344.2:1 Gear Ratio
Step 4 - The Remaining Gears

Step 6 - The Motors

Step 5 - The Second Half

Place 2 of the brass eyelets into the holes of the middle piece of the housing as shown in the picture..
Locate the right side housing part (should be the last chassis part left) and the last 2 brass eyelets. Place the eyelets into the holes as shown in the picture.
Place the long side of the hex shaft through the left hole in the chassis part.
Place the yellow G4 gear on the axle against the gear hub. Align the set screw with the gap in the raised edge on the G4 gear. The set screw should be visible with the gear in place.
Place 2 blue G3 gears onto the long part of the round shaft as shown in the picture.
Place another G3 gear on the hex shaft as shown in the picture.  Position the round shaft assembly next to the hex shaft, making sure the G3 gear on the hex shaft is in between the two G3 gears on the round shaft.
Place the yellow G2 gear onto the hex shaft as shown in the picture.

Slide the gears and shafts into the chassis. Everything should fit snugly together.

Put the outer chassis and middle chassis parts together as shown in the picture. The round and hex shafts will fit into the brass eyelets.
Find 3 of the 18mm coarse threaded screws like the one shown in the picture.
Place the 3 screws into the holes on the outside housing as shown in the picture. There are actually 4 holes but only 3 will accept the screws.

Tighten the screws firmly but do not over tighten.
